This Feed the Shark Party Game & Photo Prop is the perfect game for kids to play at any shark or pirate theme birthday party.

My little boy loves watching “Jake and the Neverland Pirates,” and he’s also a massive fan of  “The Pirates of the Caribbean” movies.

So, of course my son insisted that his birthday party include a Disney Pirate party with Sharks!

Supplies Needed for Feed the Shark Party Game & Photo Prop

  • Cardboard Box
  • Dark Blue Paint
  • Light Blue Paint
  • Black Paint
  • White Paint
  • Box Cutter
  • Red Marker
  • Red Plastic Tablecloth

How to Make Feed the Shark Photo Prop

This is what the box looked like before I started painting it.
 
I used a box cutter to cut out the mouth. Next, I drew out the Shark design with a pencil.
 
I painted the shark and after it dried I use a hot glue  gun, gluing the red tablecloth to the back of the box and I trimmed the tablecloth with scissors to make it shorter.

Both the kids and adults enjoyed playing the shark game and having their photos taken inside the giant sharks mouth.

It was such a fun party and everyone loved the shark! You can purchase the bean bags online at Amazon. We made sure to use lightweight bean bags so the shark prop wouldn’t get knocked down.

      Hi Lauren, thank you! I really enjoyed making it and it was simple the hardest part was cutting out the mouth .
      I used a tall box top from my treadmill . I think this would make a great addition to a pool party.

    I love that it doubles as photo prop and a game. How hard was it is to cut out the teeth?

    I am not sure I have a favorite pirate movie, I guess Peter Pan but I know one of my favorite rides in Disney World was Pirates of the Caribbean.

      Hello Leigh, thank you and I hope the children will stay still enough so I can take their pictures. It wasn't hard to cut out the teeth with a box cutter. The only hard part was cutting the teeth out and painting it in my cold garage!lol

    WoW! This is an awesome idea for a party. What a great way to get photos of all the kids. I would love to do this for my son's birthday party. You could print off the photos and send them to the kids as a thank you card.
