If you love bourbon, then you’ll enjoy these delicious little round balls of goodness!
These bite-size bourbon balls, made using Jim Beam Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, are super easy to make and excellent for adults to nibble on at holiday gatherings.
Of course, you’ll have to keep these boozy balls away from kids. I know they can look tempting with all that powdered sugar coated onto each round ball.
How to make Bourbon Balls
If you’re wondering how to make this delicious bourbon ball recipe, you need to start by placing vanilla wafers into a sealed plastic bag. Then use a rolling pin or something heavy to crush the cookies.
You could use a food processor, but I used my hand. I found it therapeutic! Plus, I didn’t feel like washing anything extra.
Once you crush the vanilla wafers, you’ll need to crush pecans. Then place all the ingredients into a mixing bowl except the confectioner’s sugar.
You can find a list of all the ingredients used for this recipe below in the printable recipe card.
Finally, when all the ingredients are in the bowl, use your hands (wash hands) to mix all the ingredients.
Then form the mixture into small orbs (balls). Pour confectioner’s sugar into a bowl. You will roll each ball into the sugar a few times. Make sure each ball gets heavily coated.
Don’t forget to store your whiskey balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator. You can store them in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
When serving them at a gathering, you can remove them from the fridge and roll them again in the confectioner’s sugar before placing them on a serving tray.
Of course, don’t forget to save a few of these boozy balls for yourself!
They’re the best bourbon balls ever! Also, they are known as Kentucky Bourbon Balls too.
Don’t these little balls of goodness look tasty? They remind me of the bourbon ball recipe my maw-maw used to make.
You can also use rum and make these rum balls instead.
They are perfect for serving at holiday gatherings, adult birthday parties, Christmas parties, and football parties, and excellent for gifting to adult friends!
